An automatic lubricating and cleaning apparatus for cleaning and de-greasing, for example, chains and bolts of conveyor chains consists of a bracket with a lubricating head movably arranged thereon and a drive unit associated with this lubricating head. The lubricating head is mounted in a guide and connected via a cardan joint to a pneumatic cylinder. The pneumatic cylinder is subjected to the action of a pneumatic valve controlled via an end switch.
