A device of this type is intended in particular for the interrogation of those measuring stations which are difficult to access by persons or which present considerable risks or which incur substantial cost. For simple detection of measured data from remote objects, the invention provides for the use of a microwave interrogation system with an interrogation device and an answering device disposed on mobile or stationary objects. The answering device has a modulator (4) for generating a sub-carrier for the transmission of information to the interrogation device and also an analog-digital converter (8) which records the analog measured values and is connected to the sub-carrier modulator (4) and downstream microwave modulator (3) via a data bit generator (6) which simultaneously records the code data from the answering device and a unit (5) for sync word and back-up word formation. Following their conversion, the analog measured values are transmitted along with the digital code data in a response telegram to the interrogation device. <IMAGE>
