PURPOSE:To make it possible to take up wires in a large bunch by sending upward the wires from the winding caldron one after another to the wind-up frame side through utilization of a chain and hook. CONSTITUTION:A four-leg frame 7 for winding up the stretched wires, a device for sending upward the stretched wires to wound 8, and upward device control device 9 for controlling this device 8 are furnished to send upward the steel wires from the winding caldron 3 one after another to the wind-up frame 11-11'' side through utilization of a chain and hook 16. If the tip of a steel wire is hooked at the winding caldron 3 and the winding-up is started, the steel wire being wound is heaved through the action of the tapered part on the caldron 3 up to the wind-up frame 11. When a certain specific amount of steel wire is wound, a timer 29 actuates an air cylinder 19 to apply brakes to a flat pulley 17 for the purpose of permitting the chain 15 to travel upward, and the wire hooked at the frame 11 is fed upward by an amount corresponding to the pitch of the hook 16. Thereafter the timer 29 is put in operation to stop the chain 15, which remains at a standstill until the wire on the winding caldron 3 is hooked at the wind-up frame 11'. |
