PURPOSE:To secure service to jobs in respective classes and to perform job scheduling smoothly, by executing the jobs in respective classes according to rates set for the respective job classes. CONSTITUTION:A user inputs jobs from a card reader 2 to an input reader 11 to form a queue 12 for the execution of the jobs, thus deciding on the schedule of the jobs to be executed by a job scheduler 13. During the decision on the schedule, the jobs are classed on the basis of preset starting rates to obtain their job classes. In response to a request to start a job from an initiator mechanism 14 for the job execution, the scheduler 13 checks the classed jobs, and respective expected jobs are executed under the control of the mechanism 14. The execution results are applied through an output writer 16 to a line printer 3, thus securing service to the jobs in respective job classes. |
