PURPOSE:To enable the distance between an upper metal die and a lower metal die to widen suficiently and to enable a cake to be arranged at predetermined position by press-forming the cake into a disk between the upper metal die and the lower metal die with the lower metal die raised in two steps. CONSTITUTION:The cake made by a cake producing device for a disk is dropped onto a lower metal die 35, and successively pressurized oil is introduced into the oil pressure chamber 44 in a auxiliary cylinder 42 from a conduit 46 by opening only a switch valve 46a. When a ram 41 is raised, with this action a subpiston 39 and a main piston 29 are also raised, and the lower metal die 36 is lifted slightly. Next, the pressurized oil is introduced into the oil pressure chamber 43 in a subcylinder 38 from a conduit 45 by opening a switch valve 45a. The pressurized oil entering into the oil pressure chamber 43 raises the subpiston 39 slightly. When the subpiston 39 is raised, its lower end surface is separated from the upper end surface of a ram 41, and the pressurized oil entering into a flowing path 39a reaches a oil pressure chamber 40 in a main cylinder 28. The pressurized oil entering into the oil pressure chamber 40 raises a main piston 30, and the lower metal die is press-operated against the upper metal die 20, thereby forming the cake into the disk. |
