The invention concerns a packing method for a box or similar according to which a locking means, Figure 1b, is pressed together to such an outer perimeter that a cuff, Figure 1c, having a perimeter somewhat less than that of the locking means can be readily threaded onto it. The shorter side or end of the box is subsequently inserted, Figure 1a, between the upper part and the lower part of the locking means whereby the forward edge of the cuff is flexed and the box can be slid into the locking means. Once the box has been inserted to its innermost position, the cuff will maintain the box in a fixed position. The invention also concerns a packing system that comprises the box, the locking means and the cuff. The system can be used for the conversion of material handling boxes to packaging units that are ready for delivery and that can be used for repeated dispatch. <IMAGE> |
