PURPOSE:To ensure the good TV reception, by inserting a certain frequency in a long dropout period that is incapable to be compensated by a dropout compensating circuit and setting the demodulating level of the dropout period at a DC level lower than the pedestal level of the video signal. CONSTITUTION:An LPF10 gives a delay to the output signal of a dropout detecting circuit 9 and at the same time controls a switching circuit 11 with a level V2 to the output signal level V1 of the circuit 9. The waveform of the output signal of the circuit 11 is compnesated by the conventional 1H delaying circuit 6 in the 1st period of the dropout period and then supplied to a video demodulating circuit 13 in the 2nd period through a limiter circuit 12 and by the signal of an oscillating circuit 16 which is switched by the circuit 11 to be set at a DC level slightly lower than the set-up level of the video signal. Thus the output waveform of the circuit 11 has no overmodulation although it is supplied to an RF converter 21.
