PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal loss caused by the electric resistance of electrodes by providing a conductive member over the surface of a battery frame having an oxidant chamber and a fuel chamber, and making plural joint pieces, which are used to connect the surfaces of adjacent electrodes, to be joined and fixed to the said conductive member. CONSTITUTION:Unit cells, each of which has an oxidant electrode 1, a fuel electrode 2 and an electrolyte chamber 3, are stacked by interposing battery frames 4, the surfaces of each of which are provided with an oxidant chamber 5 and a fuel chamber 6, between thm. At the same time, an oxidant electrode 1 and a fuel electrode 2 adjacent one another are electrically connected so as to take electricity outside the fuel cell. Here, the surface of the frame 4 is coated with a conductive member 11, the frame 4 is provided with a plural number of joint pieces 10, and the surfaces of the electrodes 1 and 2 are made to conduct with one another by making the pieces 10 to be in contact with the conductive member 11. As a result, the battery performance can be increased by reducing the thermal loss caused by the electric resistance of the electrodes 1 and 2 by properly selecting the joint pieces 10. |
