A seal for bottles, cans and the like, comprising of a lid (10) with an end plate (11) and an edge collar (12) that fits over a sealing ring (15) of thermoplastic, which is squeezable onto a bulge on the edge of the mouth of a bottle or can. The lid has an axial stopper (14) that seals in the sealing ring. According to the invention, the lid is sealed to the sealing ring by the sealing ring having an axial pipe pin (24) on its upper side. This pin in introduce into an axial hole (13) in the end plate of the lid. The part of the pipe pin that is above the lid has since melted down into a seal that locks the lid together and the sealing ring under the remains of a pipe section of the pin near the upper side of the sealing ring so that separation upon twisting of the lid occurs at a section that has a pipe section.<IMAGE> |
