PURPOSE:To enhance the utility rate of an inverter and to reduce the loss of a motor power due to harmonic current by alternately pulsating the output currents of two sets of inverters in response to the desired magnetomotive force vector direction, and supplying them to a motor coil. CONSTITUTION:Variable control rectifiers 1, 1' output DC voltages so that the terminal voltage of a motor is set equal to the set value of a potentiometer 21 by the gate pulses from gate controllers 24, 24' so that the same current flow through two sets of coils of the motor 10. Further, the output current is alternately pulse-amplitude modulated in response to the desired magnetomotive force vector direction in power inverters 3, 3' by using a voltage/frequency converter 25, a counter 26 and gate circuits 27, 27', and is then supplied to the motor 10. |
