<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate program searching for various types of information recorded on a tape, by comparing the position of a full-width demagnetized part detected by a cue head with the head leading position requested by an operator and then outputting a tape travel stopping signal when an agreement is obtained between both positions. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic erased part is formed previously at the position where the program searching is desired on a magnetic tape 1 by means of a full- width erasing head 6. This magnetic erased position is detected by a cue head 9, and a detecting signal is fed to an arithmetic means 11. The means 11 calculates and stores the order of the magnetic erased position counted from the initiation of turn for the tape travelling by the detecting signal. Then a head leading request is given by a program searching switch 12, and a storage means 13 delivers a position signal to an arithmetic means 14 in accordance with the head reading request. The means 14 compares the output of the means 11 with the output of the means 13 and then delivers a tape travel stopping signal when an agreement is obtained between both outputs.</p> |
