PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture and increase electrolyte leakage resistance by freezing at low temperature an insulating gasket covered with an adhesive solution obtined by dissolving adhesives and evaporating adhered water by irradiating electron radiation. CONSTITUTION:When an adhesive liquid layer 2 is formed on the surface of an insulating gasket 1 and freezed with a low temperature chamber and only adhered water is dried by irradiating electron radiation with a microwave oven, only the surface of the adhesive layer is dried and in its inside a liquid solvent layer exists without evapolation, and no fine cracks occur in the adhesive layer 2. Because a battery is sealed via this adhesive layer, no electrolyte leakage path is formed during sealing, and an existing adhesive liquid layer is penetrated and filled in fine gaps between the gasket and a metallic sealing plate 8 or a metallic container 6. Therefore, electrolyte leakage is prevented over a long period of storage. |
