Process for the production of synchroniser disc blanks

In a process for the production of annular shaped bodies, in particular synchroniser disc blanks, a semi-finished product is produced by forming and a raw body of annular cross-section is formed from this by mechanical working. In order to make possible the production of blanks with a considerably improved wear-reducing effect while making economical use of materials, the semi-finished product is a flat wire which is bent to form an annular body and joined at the ends (abutting edges).
