Method and device for separating a sheet from a stack of sheets The disclosure is related with the separating of a sheet from a stack of sheets. The device comprises a housing having one open end in which a stack of sheets is located. At the open end a pair of separating rollers is provided. The relation between the coefficients of friction of the rollers and of the surfaces of the sheets to be separated on the one hand and the initial opposed rotation of the rollers on the other hand makes that the first sheet of the stack be separated from the rest. Separation is greatly facilitated by the provision of hooks which support the adjacently positioned edge of the stack during separation and positively provoke a withdrawal of the stack formed by the residual sheets.
