PURPOSE:To enable to perform an easy detection of a surface pressure through a simple device, by a method wherein a given voltage is applied to a pair of corresponding electrodes of each of conductive plates attached to both surfaces of a pressure-sensitive plate, and a lump sum of a surface pressure is found from a given computing formula based on the voltage. CONSTITUTION:A pressure detector 1 is constituted in a 3-layer structure consisting of a conductive plate 2 for a first layer, a pressure-sensitive plate 3 for a second layer, and a conductive plate 4 for a third layer. A voltage +a is applied to electrodes 5 and 6 at the opposite ends of the conductive plate 2 for the first layer throgh their respective resistances R. A connection is made such that a voltage -a is applied to electrodes 7 and 8 at the opposite ends of the conductive plate 4 for the third layer through their respective resistances R, and voltages VA and VB of the electrodes 5 and 6 and the voltages VC and VD of the electrodes 7 and 8, produced when a power is exerted on the pressure detector 1, are fetched. Based on said voltages, a lump sum W of a surface pressure can be found from an equality of W=K0(2a-VA-VB)=K0(2a+VC+VD), where K0 is a constant. |
