PURPOSE:To obtain an image-bearing material nor causing deterioration of characteristics, by using a shrinkable film plasticized with a plasticizing solvent to ensure close adhesion to a substrate when an image-bearing material for carrying an electrostatic or toner image is composed of a shrinkable film. CONSTITUTION:A shrinkable polyester film obtained by forming polyester into a tube shape by the inflation method and stretching it in the longitudinal and lateral directions is plasticized with a plasticizing solvent, resulting in lowering the transition point of the film to the range lower than the transition point of a photosensitive material, and the deterioration temp. of the film and the photosensitive material, etc., tnus permitting the film to be shrinked without causing deterioration of the characteristics and be used for an image-bearing material. As the plasticizing solvent, it is chosen in accordance with the kind of material of the shrinkable film, but in general, aromatic solvents, such as toluene and xylene, halogenated solvents, such as trichloroethylene and carbon tetrachloride, and the mixtures of them can be used. |
