PURPOSE:To enable performing stable grinding in such a way that hard asperities are formed on the sliding contact face to the grinding stone of a supporting member to support the work, and during the grinding processes, the asperities remove clogging of the grinding stone in sliding contact with the grinding stone. CONSTITUTION:When a sun gear 4 is turned and driven, retaining gears 5 are revolved both on their axes and round together. In consequence, a work 6 which is inserted and supported into a supporting hole 7 slides on a grinding stone 2 with spiral movement, in the meantime, its lower face is ground. Besides, asperities which are formed on the sliding contact face 5a of one of the retaining gears 5 are brought into sliding contact with the grinding stone 2 during the grinding processes, at the same time as scobs of the work 6 are removed, setting of the grinding stone can be done. Thus, during the grinding processes, there are rare cases of causing clogging, so that stable grinding can be done, and the frequency of conjoint sliding operations can be reduced. |
