PURPOSE:To prevent welding loss in an internal layer, by finely dispersing primary phase silicon, obtaining high silicon hypereutectoid aluminum alloy, pouring the internal layer, consisting of the high silicon hypereutectoid aluminum alloy, with an external layer made from a casting aluminum alloy, and forming a cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION:An internal layer 2 contains 12-30% silicon by weight and about 10% or less the other additive element as necessary, and consists of a high silicon hupereutectoid aluminum alloy dispersed with primary phase silicon to fine shape of grain size about 10mu or less, while an external layer 3 is constituted by a general casting aluminum alloy specified to an aluminum alloy cast or aluminum alloy die cast. A thin thickness internal cylindrical material made of high silicon hypereutectoid aluminum alloy, the internal layer 2, is cut into a prescribed length and mounted to a die casting machine, then a casting aluminum alloy is a ppired to the periphery, finally the external layer 3 is formed by cast pouring. |
