PURPOSE:To attain a high selecting speed, by providing a plurality of criteria specifying the priority of display at a display device for a plurality of Kanjis having Yomigana(Japanese phonetic syllabary) and selecting each criterion alternately. CONSTITUTION:A code inputted with the keying of a Kana(Japanese syllabary) key 11 is sequentially stored to a memory 4 and the code read out from the memory 4 with the control of a control section 5 is given to a character generator 6 and converted into a character pattern and displayed on a display section 2. When a Kanji(Chinese) conversion instruction key 12 and a priority selection key 13, 14 or 15 are operated, the Kana key input is converted into a Kanji. After the input of the Kana key 11, when the key 13, 14 or 15 is operated, a control section 5 retrieves a Kanji based on the Kana inputted after the keying of the key 12 at a dictionary section 7 and displays the Kanji on a display section 2. In this case, the Kanji is displayed with the priority on the display 2 in the order many strokes, less strokes or high frequency. |
