The invention relates to a paint-polishing device which is to be used essentially for caring for, and regenerating, paint surfaces, preferably motor-vehicle paintwork. As can be seen from the accompanying drawing, the invention relates, in particular, to a supplementary unit for a commercially available hand drill with drill chuck. With the aid of commercially available polishing cotton, which is retained in a movable magazine, and car polish, the hitherto conventional manual rubbing of polish into paint surfaces and subsequent polishing, which constantly requires fresh polishing cotton, are to be considerably simplified. The actual flexible polishing plate has a special profile and, at the centre, a tear-off device for the polishing cotton which has already been used. <IMAGE>
