PURPOSE:To avoid the wastefulness of a specimen and to prevent the damage of a specimen suction nozzle, by arranging the specimen suction nozzle to a lift mechanism through an elastic member and allowing the lift mechanism to fall until the elastic member is compressed by predetermined quantity. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle lift mechanism 6 is mounted on the arm 1 driven in an X-axis direction in the horizontal plane above a sample rack mount stand 2 by a pulse motor 3 to constitute a horizontal positioning mechanism. The lift mechanism 6 consists of the stepping motor provided on the arm 1 and the base stand 11 meshing with a rack 10 through a pinion 9 and a specimen suction nozzle 12 is mounted on the surface of the base stand 11 through an elastic member such as a spring in a state movable in an up-and-down direction. Further, a light blocking plate 14 is fixed to the nozzle 12 and, when the elastic member is compressed by definite amount, that is, when force acts on the nozzle 12 in a degree bringing about no damage of the nozzle 12, a position detector 15 such as a photosensor is arranged at a place where the light blocking plate 14 positions. By this constitution, the precise teaching to the lift mechanism 6 becomes unnecessary and the leading end of the nozzle 12 can certainly be brought into contact with the bottom part of a container. |
