In windsurfing, steering is obtained by moving the mast about a universal joint to shift the centre of wind pressure. In applying a similar steering method to a vehicle mounted on wheels for possibly skids), at least one wheel (or skid) 8 has to be pivotable to accommodate the wind-induced steering.
