摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a flange by rolling a stepped roll around and in contact with the outer periphery surface of a tapered mandrel to so expand a hole drilled in a plate material as to be formed into a flange shape. CONSTITUTION:A titled device comprising a rotatable tapered mandrel 3, a support member supporting a plurality of stepped minor roll 1A rotatably and movably in orbits and diplaceably axially of the mandrel 3. The above roll 1A is rolled around in contact with the peripheral surface of the mandrel 3. A previous hole 5 drilled through the plate material 4 is successively expanded for the edge of the hole 5 without rotation of the plate 4 to be curled for the purpose of forming a flange 5b.
