PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of a reed valve and to prevent occurrence of troubles due to simultaneous grinding of metal and rubber, by fabricating a valve seat member from a sheet-like stock obtained by applying a coating of a resilient material such as rubber over the surface of a steel plate by way of punching. CONSTITUTION:A valve seat member 4, made of a sheet-like stock obtained by applying a coating of a resilient material such as rubber over the surface of a thin steel plate, is attached to the side face of a metal valve body 1. The sheet- like stock has an air port 2 and an outer contour similar to those of the valve body 1. With such an arrangement, a reed valve can be obtained by attaching a reed 5 and a stopper 6 to the valve seat member 4 and fixing them to the valve body 1 by use of a small screw. |
