PURPOSE:To produce a U type steel sheet pile of high accuracy wherein the claw of the joint part is formed of one claw by subjecting a blank material to rough intermediate rolling by plural times of reversible passes with universal rolling mill groups consisting of universal mills and edgers. CONSTITUTION:A bloom blank material is roughly rolled with breakdown mills (BD) having calibers, and is conveyed to the next rough intermediate rolling stage. Here, the material is subjected to rough intermediate rolling of a reverse rolling system using two sets of universal rolling mills (a, b) consisting of universal mills (U1, U2) and edger mills (E1, E2). Thereafter, the blank material is subjected to finish rolling with finishing mills (F) having calibers like in conventional methods, whereby the U type steel sheet pile having one claw in the joint part is produced. |
