A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the photographic light-sensitive material has a layer containing both a non-diffusible coupler which forms a properly smearing diffusible dye upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and a silver halide emulsion in which a diameter corresponding to the projected area of grains that takes 40% or more of the projected area of whole silver halide grains is 1.5 mu m or more. The silver halide photographic light-sensitive material has improved graininess as well as has high sensitivity.
