PURPOSE:To increase the intra-face orientating factor, by coating a coating material containing the magnetic fine particles on a substrate and then making the substrate pass within a magnetic field containing a magnetic field component which is vertical to the surface of the coated film and then a magnetic field having a magnetic field component which ic parallel to the film surface. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic tape 2 is fed to a flat plate 4 from a supply reel 1 to a flat plate 4 via a guide roll 3. A magnetic coating material 6 is coated on the surface of the tape 2 by an applicator 5 put on the plate 4. Then the tape 2 is fed to a flat plate 8 via a guide roll 7. The tape 2 is then made to pass within a magnetic field of a vertical magnetic field orientator 9 and then a magnetic field of an intra-face magnetic field orientator 10. Then the tape 2 is dried up naturally through the route at and after a guide roll 11. |
