PURPOSE:To discriminate the position of an error correctable storage medium and to discriminate the type of the error, by storing an address reforming address and the position of said storage medium into a reformed memory. CONSTITUTION:A converted address signal 12 and the 1st and 2nd error position designating signals 15 and 16 are read out of a reformed memory 2 by the address information contained in an address control signal 10 and a control signal. The read data 14 and an error position designating signal 13 are read out of the converted address in a storage device 3 by the read control signal contained in a control signal 11. When a correctable error is detected out of the signal 13, a correction is given to the data 14 within the device 3. At the same time, the signal 13 is compared with the signals 15 and 16 through the comparators 4 and 5 respectively to discriminate the error. |
