PURPOSE:To obtain high-resolution and vivid pictures, by attracting an excess of the magnetic toner on a magnetic recording medium, which is attracted onto a magnetic latent image, by a removing member to control the quantity of the magnetic toner. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic latent image is developed with a magnetic toner 1, and an excess magnetic toner 1a is removed. A removing member 10 which is formed with a ferromagnetic material such as iron is provided in the post stage in the developing part, and the tip shaped to a knife edge of the removing member 10 faces closely to a magnetic recording medium 2 while extending in the axial direction of the magnetic recording medium 2. The tip of the removing member 10 formed with the ferromagnetic material is magnetized by the magnetic field generated by the magnetic latent image on the magnetic recording medium 2, and a magnetic curtain is formed between the tip of the removing member 10 and the magnetic latent image, and thus, a part of the magnetic toner, namely, the excess magnetic toner 1a stuck to the magnetic recording medium 2 is subjected to the removing member 10 by the action of lines of magnetic force and is removed. |
