A vehicle pathway clearance apparatus (9) is specified, in the case of which a clearance device (12) is mounted on a carrier vehicle (10). The clearance device (12) essentially has a frame (13) for a shaft, with a rapidly rotating shaft (17). Weights (22), which are attached to cables (ropes) (19) are fitted distributed over the length of the shaft (17). These weights (22) rotate with the shaft such that they penetrate the material to be cleared from the rear to the front, seen in the direction of movement (11). In consequence, the material to be cleared is slung out of the vehicle pathway which is to be cleared. The specified vehicle pathway clearance apparatus (9) creates a vehicle pathway with a predetermined clearance depth (30) and vehicle pathway width, with a firm base. <IMAGE>
