Charging arrangement for a continuous casting installation

For charging a continuous casting installation, use is made of a rotary tower, the lifting mechanism of which can, via a crosspiece, raise the pouring ladle out of the ladle transport waggon, pivot it and set it down above the tun dish. Preferably, the lifting mechanism is arranged in a stationary manner on the counterweight boom, the cable drive is guided to the boom tip via a trolley which is movable on the front boom so that, on changing the loading, a horizontal load path is created. This charging arrangement is intended to replace the bridge cranes and ladle rotary towers used according to the state of the art, it being possible at the same time to supply two installations.
