PURPOSE:To prepare a feed for pisciculture having low peroxide content and suitable for the growth of fish, by the two-step fermentation of defatted fish meat refuse using three kinds of microorganisms comprising molds, yeasts and bacteria. CONSTITUTION:Three kinds of microorganisms comprising molds such as Aspergillus niger, yeasts such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae and bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis, are preliminarily cultured separately. The cultured product is added to rice bran, wheat bran or their mixture, and the mixture is added to and mixed thoroughly with fish meat refuse defatted by the treatment with steam at 150-180 deg.C under pressure. The resultant mixture is subjected to the first-step fermentation at about 30 deg.C under aeration and agitation, and then to the second- step fermentation at about 40 deg.C under aeration and agitation. The cultured product is dried with hot air at 60-80 deg.C to water content of 10-13%, and crushed to obtain the objective feed. |
