摘要 PURPOSE:To miniaturize the entire exciting circuit by adopting a hybrid bridge rectifying circuit for the rotary rectifying device of the exciting circuit, inserting a discharge resistor only at the time of starting, and separating it at the steady state operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting, a field winding 3F of the motor is shorted by the discharge resistor 6, and the motor is started as an induction motor. When the speed of the motor approaches the vicinity of a synchronous speed, a thyristor 23 is turned OFF and a discharge circuit is separated. At the time, when the excitation is imparted to the discharge winding of an AC exciter, an AC voltage is generated in an armature 1A. When said AC voltage exceeds the breakover voltage value of a trigger diode 14, ignition pulses are imparted to an auxiliary thyristor 18 through a pulse transformer 15. When the auxiliary thyristor 18 is turned ON, thyristors 71, 72, and 73 of the rotary rectifying device are turned ON, and the DC is flowed through the field winding 3F.
