The control circuit has a blocking oscillator with integral transistor (4), and a transformer with a control winding connected in the transistor control circuit. In the latter is a regulator for the transistor base current consisting of at least one adjustable resistance (5) connected in parallel with a capacitor. The adjustable resistance forms part of at least one potentiometer (5), the completely fixed resistance of which is connected in parallel with the control winding and the parallel connected capacitor (2) with variable resistance. The potentiometer is parallel-connected with a further potentiometer (6) with the same resistance, the fixed resistance of which is connected from the first potentiometer variable outlet via a capacitor (7) to the transistor emitter, and whose variable outlet is connected directly to the transistor base.
