PURPOSE:To make one-way motion controllable, by installing a valve mechanism on a piston inside the cylinder as well as a movable cover on a cylinder inlet part and then filling the inside of a closed cylinder by the movable cover with working fluid. CONSTITUTION:A piston rod 6 is inserted into the inside of a bottomed cylinder 2 opening its one end (left end), passing through the cylinder head (right end) and at the inner end of the piston rod 6, a piston 3 is fitted to be freely slidable. In addition, the left end of the cylinder 2 is blocked off with a movable cover 2 and a closed space inside the cylinder 2 is sectioned into two parts, a principle chamber P and a subchamber S, by the piston 3, while space between both chambers P and S is interconnected through via passages 4 and 4'. Then, at the tip of the piston rod 6, a valve body 7 is formed up as a one-piece body in order to shut down the passage 4. This damper is able to control a motion of the piston rod 6 by means of the valve body 7 when it moves toward A. |
