PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-purpose freighter, in which side holds are partitioned by plural layers vertically with a vehicle deck and passages are formed to extend the main holds and communicate the both side holds, permitting the accommodation of automobiles in the side holds and a bulk cargo or the like in the main holds. CONSTITUTION:A ship's hold is divided by longitudinal bulkheads 5, 5' into the main holds 6 and side holds, and the side hold is divided into plural layers vertically with a vehicle deck 8. The main hold 6 is partitioned by transversal bulkheads 1-4 into plural divisions longitudinally of a ship body, here passages 11-14 passable with a vehicle are formed along the transversal bulkheads 1-4 of each divided main hold. Openings 16, 16' with a door, communicated to the side hold, are provided to a side hold external board 9. In this way, the ship's hold can be formed accommodateable with an automobile in the side hold while a bulk cargo in the main hold. |
