PURPOSE:To raise thickness of color of printed letters without reducing the speed of ink drying by making the surface layer or inside of an ink jet recording paper contain a kind of phenols or a solid aromatic carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:A kind of phenols such as hydroquinone, pyrogallol, catechol, resorcinal, phthalic acid, maleic acid, etc. or an aromatic carboxylic acid is applied on the surface of a paper or mixed in the material of the paper through the paper manufacturing process. A recording paper thus obtained is used to perform jet recording with water ink, in which the dyestuff of flying minute ink drops does not permeate into the inside of the recording paper by contacting with the reacting matter in the paper. In this way images with high color thickness in printed letters are obtained. |
