PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware and to improve the performance, by addressing the storage area of a command word through the result of operation between address information common to a plurality of lines and information specific to lines. CONSTITUTION:In case of processing the request from a line control adaptor section, a line control adaptor number during scanning stored in a control section 40, a detailed line number in a control word and a word number which is a part of transfer control information in the control word are outputted to a signal line 106. The result of addition of the contents of the signal line 106 and a common address register 41 is stored in an address register 43. The content of the register 43 indicates a storage address for either of a data transfer address in a command word storage area corresponding to the line number or the storage address for end information or command word based on the word number which is a part of transfer control information in the transfer word, for the transfer of data, end information or command word. |
