A machine for the handling of timber, especially a so called beading machine, comprised of two sets of knife instruments (16) for the removal of bark by feeding the trunk inside both, mainly diametrical just opposite each other on the facing area, which extends, in principle, along the entire trunk. In order to enable this even with crooked, curved and knotted trunks the knife instrument (16) is perpendicularly movable against the trunk (4) feed direction as well as supported by the carrier device (19), made up of the pivot arms and which are connected to one another by means of an elastic connection device (24) and/or stiff connection device (21, 23), in which a suitably adjustable play or scope is built-in.<IMAGE> |
