Process for determination of heparin in blood

Heparin in blood is determined over a wide concentration range by measurement of the coagulation time of serum, which has been obtained from a test sample of blood, when it is combined under standard conditions with thrombin and plasma solutions. The coagulation time is then determined from an experimentally established functional dependence between coagulation time and heparin concentration.
