The belt has several concealed pockets and is fastened with e.g. a reversible buckle. The bbelt is made of two thicknesses of supple material that are superposed and the pockets are made between the thicknesses. The pockets have a flat opening concealed in the thickness of the material or in the edge of the belt and are closed by e.g. sliding clasp fasteners. Supplementary pockets can be fixed on to the outside of the belt or can be slid over it.
