PURPOSE:To perform a safe rapid assembly of legs for a working platform, by a method wherein a working platform is supported by a scaffold barge, and after an aggregate, formed by connecting the legs under the working platform, is raised, a succeeding unit leg is fed and positioned under said leg to couple them. CONSTITUTION:A working platform 11 is located on bed woods 14 installed in a dock 10 D, first unit leg bodies 13-1 are suspended in an elevating device 12 and loosely engaged, and the lower end is placed on a stand 19. With the elevating device 12 operated, the work platform 11 is raised to the upper parts of the unit leg bodies 13-1, water is implanted in the dock D to bring a scaffold barge 15 under the working platform and between the unit leg bodies. After seawater in the dock D is drained and the scaffold barge 15 is landed on the bottom of the sea, the working platform 11 is lowered to support it by the scaffold barge. The unit leg bodies 13-1 are raised, second unit leg bodies 13-2, placed on a truck 16, are moved under the unit leg bodies 13-1 to couple together the first unit leg body and the second unit leg body by welding. |
