<p>The implement which picks up canine excrement uses vertical pressure to drive spikes into the waste material. The spikes also retain the material whilst isolation is effected by a demountable cover plate, the implement then being taken indoors for the disposal of the material at leisure. A rapid pick-up and discharge plate may use a handled plunger with nails projecting from its head (2). The plunger may be mounted in a two piece telescopic case, together with a fixed plate (4) with perforations for the nails, the case being closed at the foot by a cover with magnetic catches. The spikes descend to make the pick up, ascend partly for transit, and ascent again relative to the plate to effect discharge.</p> |
