The sensor instrument (Sensista) is a single-surface, mouldable, movable height-variable key panel of plastic compound and there is no need for an unambiguous finger/key correlation. The novel key panel is moved with whole (whole-area) hands, the movements being converted into acoustic vibrations - in this case chords. In the mechanical instrument of this class, the key panel is stacked on the previous keys which, reduced to a minimum, become sensors for the novel key panel. The key sequence is retained. The key panel, used in the electronic music field, is characterised by the fact that the sensoric movements of the hands or the pulses triggered by them are scanned by electric sensors, i.e. music is switched with corresponding light signals, high tones are accompanied by bright light signals, deep tones are accompanied by dark light signals. The essential aspect is association and combination of sensitive and acoustic and visual impressions. <IMAGE>
