Course measuring device

A course measuring device for vehicles is described in which a course measuring sensor generates course measurement signals for a vehicle in response to the earth's magnetic field. Compensation switches or a magnetic card generate a compensation signal for compensating for the magnetic declination of a region in which the vehicle is moving. A microcomputer compares the output signals of the course measuring sensor with the compensation signal and calculates the accurate course direction of the vehicle for generating a course signal.
