PURPOSE:To display a remaining time during a power failure while preventing the unnecessary consumption of backup electric power by cutting off a prescribed output through a microcomputer during the power failure, etc., and displaying the remaining time with a switch for time display. CONSTITUTION:If electric feeding by a commercial power source from a waveform shaping circuit 17 is cut off continuously for prescribed seconds owing to a power failure, etc., a microcomputer 8 discriminates the power failure, and the output of the microcomputer 8, applied with backup electric power by a soler battery 19, etc., to a remaining-time display device 5, relays 10 and 11, a buzzer 9, etc., is cut off. In this state, when a switch 18 for time display is operated, the remaining time is displayed on the display device 5 and during the power failure, the unnecessary consumption of backup electric power is eliminated; and the remaining time is displayed and simultaneously with the restart of feeding, automatic recovery is performed, so that the remaining time display device for a power failure suitable for a coin launderette device, etc., is obtained. |
