<p>PURPOSE:To make the tabulation processing efficient, by counting the number of written characters and placing a cursor in the beginning of the next line of a field when the number of characters becomes a value determined by the width of the field. CONSTITUTION:Keys on a keyboard 1 are operated and the position of a cursor is designated through a cursor input part 3 to input information indicating the overall frame of a table and information prescribing the structure of each field to a field management part 9. The management part 9 counts the number of characters written in a field of the table; and when the count value reaches a designated value, the management part 9 instructs a cursor controlling part 8 to place the cursor in the beginning of the next line in the field and resets the count value to zero. A main controlling part 4 sends a generated document to a document file 5 to preserve it and displays the frame of the table and the document on a display part 7 through a screen buffer 6. The controlling part 8 controls the address of the cursor to indicate the position of the cursor and changes lines of the displayed document automatically to perform the tabulation processing and the update of the document efficiently.</p> |
