PURPOSE:To perform invariably excellent copying operation by providing the 2nd starting means which starts trial multimode operation in which copying operation for the 2nd and succeeding sheets is started once the 1st starting means for starting multimode operation is operated. CONSTITUTION:With a print switch 42, usual copying processing is started and if a sorter 100 is not provided, copying operation is performed in single mode or multimode. When a trial copying switch 43 as the 2nd starting means is operated before a print switch 42, the switch 42 is given priority. When the trial copy switch is operated in multimode, only one sheet is copied by prescribed copying operation. To confirm again whether the quality of copying is normal or not after correction in case of a failure in copying, the trial copying switch 43 is operated again. A timer TM is reset and a corrected copy is obtained by the prescribed copying operation. If neither the print switch 42 nor the trial copying switch 43 is operated until timer set time T1, the copying of the 2nd and succeeding sheets is continued. |
