<p>PURPOSE:To display vector information of all points as a distributed image in one frame by displaying a luminescent spot which has a hue corresponding to the direction of each vector and brightness corresponding to the size of the vector at the position on the image plane corresponding to the coordinate position of the vector. CONSTITUTION:In a vector display device, data indicating coordinate positions X and Y of a vector are inputted to a write address generating circuit 2, which generates the corresponding write address data to be inputted to an image memory 4. Data on the direction theta and size gamma of the vector are latched by a latch circuit 6 and supplied as read address data to the next data converting memory 8 as a data converting means, where the direction theta of the vector is converted into a hue consisting of three primary colors R, G, and B, and the size gamma of the vector is converted into data corresponding to brightness, and outputted. The image memory 4 supplies those data to a TV signal converting circuit 16 and the data are displayed on a CRT display 18.</p> |
