In the method according to the invention for the production of a transmission for a kitchen appliance, bearing bushes, spacers and the like are moulded onto sheet-metal blanks in one operation in a mould, axles having been inserted into the mould beforehand and, as a result, being united into a single unit with the bearing bushes. It is thereby possible to dispense with the expensive drilling and reaming of bearings and the subsequent press-fitting of the axles. A transmission constructed by the method according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that the axles (7, 8, 9) are supported in bearing bushes (10, 11, 12) which, for their part, are moulded onto sheet-metal blanks (1, 2, 3), as are the spacers (13, 14) and the other components. <IMAGE>
